GAC Toyota Motor , previously Guangzhou Toyota Motor , is an automobile manufacturer from the People's Republic of China . There is also the abbreviation GTMC.
Company history
The company was founded on September 1st, 2004 in Guangzhou . The Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group and Toyota were involved . Both held 50% of the shares. In September 2008 it was renamed.

In May 2006 the Toyota Camry appeared . The Toyota Yaris followed in May 2008 .
Production numbers
In 2006 61,281 vehicles were produced and in the following year 170,277.
