The GBA Group umbrella brand unites a network of service companies with a focus on laboratory analysis , consulting and further services for the environment , food and pharmaceuticals . Its headquarters with GBA Gesellschaft für Bioanalytik mbH is in Hamburg .

history

Laboratory doctor and chemist Erich Döllefeld founded a medical laboratory practice in Hamburg-Harburg in 1975, whose non-medical services he later outsourced. With the new field of work on environmentally relevant analyzes, the chemical laboratory renamed the "Gesellschaft für Bioanalytik Hamburg mbH" in 1989.

In the following years, today's GBA Group integrated various analysis laboratories and expanded its business areas to include services for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Branches in Austria and Belgium were added, the GBA Group currently has 23 locations. Since 2011 the company has had the company name "GBA Gesellschaft für Bioanalytik mbH".

With the acquisition of Ivario GmbH & Co. KG, the leading provider of drinking water tests for end consumers has also been part of the GBA Group since 2019.

Further subsidiaries within the GBA Group for the food sector are Institut Pieldner GmbH in Stuttgart, TeLA GmbH in Geestland, Hygienicum GmbH in Graz and Lanetan NV in Turnhout (Belgium). NuTIQ GmbH as a provider of integrated digital solutions is based in the Hamburg wholesale market. The Pharma division has locations in Germany and Austria with the companies GBA Pharma GmbH (Martensried, Graefelfing and Ulm), Pharmacelsus GmbH (Saarbrücken), Laboratorium für Klinische Forschung GmbH (Schwentinental) and ABF Pharmaceutical Services GmbH (Vienna). Also for the environmental sector, the hydrological investigation center Salzburg GmbH, the Analytikum Umweltlabor GmbH in Merseburg, the Thuringian Environmental Institute Henterich GmbH & Co.KG in Krauthausen, the GBA Analytical Services GmbH in Vaterstetten near Munich and the drinking water testers from Ivario belong to the GBA Group.
