The Society for Artistic Research in the Federal Republic of Germany , abbreviated to GKFD, is the federal and umbrella association for institutional and free artistic research in Germany.

founding

In September 2018, the GKFD was founded by over 100 founding members in Berlin. The presidium consists of: Elke Bippus , Kathrin Busch and Julian Klein . The managing director is Lilian Engelmann .

Purpose and goals

The purpose of the GKFD is to promote artistic research in Germany; promoting discussions between researchers from various artistic and scientific disciplines, holding events and meetings, carrying out research projects, networking people who are active in the field of artistic research in Germany and internationally, and representing the interests of the artistic research community towards politics.
