history
It was founded in 1950 and the first radio broadcast was also broadcast that year. The first television broadcast was on October 29, 1961. It was also referred to as the " Christian Network " in 1974 because of its programs under new management. GMA Network (formerly known as DZBB TV Channel 7, RBS TV Channel 7, GMA Radio-Television Arts and GMA Rainbow Satellite Network) is usually referred to as "Kapuso Network" in reference to the company logo, a rainbow-colored heart.
GMA Netzwerk is based in the GMA Network Center in Quezon City , the transmitter is located in Barangay Culiat on Tandang Sora Avenue, also in Quezon City.
