Jesús Antonio Lerma Nolasco
Jesús Antonio Lerma Nolasco (born July 4, 1945 in Xalisco , Nayarit , Mexico ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Iztapalapa .
Life
Jesús Antonio Lerma Nolasco received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Tepic on December 24, 1971 .
On May 7th, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Aulona and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Mexico City . The Archbishop of Mexico City, Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera , ordained him episcopal on July 10th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Christophe Pierre , and the Archbishop of Tlalnepantla , Carlos Aguiar Retes .
Pope Francis appointed him on September 28, 2019 as the first bishop of the diocese of Iztapalapa , which was established on the same date . The inauguration took place on November 4, 2019.
