The GMC Software AG is a software company for customer communications management ( Customer Communications Management , or CCM). Headquartered in Appenzell , Switzerland , the company has 690 employees worldwide with branches in Europe , Asia , Australia , Latin and North America . The research and development department in the Czech city of Hradec Králové employs around 260 software engineers, developers and consultants. In 2012 GMC Software was acquired by Neopost. Today the company is called Quadient.
history
1986 Hein Gölthenboth and Max Matti founded GMC (Göltenboth Matti Company). The company initially acted as a hardware integrator in the field of high-speed printing. From 1994, under the direction of René Müller, the company developed software for the digital printer industry. In 1998 the research and development department was opened in the Czech city of Hradec Králové . In 2000 the company was renamed GMC Software AG. In 2012 it was taken over by Neopost. Henri Dura became CEO in 2013. GMC Software Technology was named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Customer Communications Management Software for the fourth year in a row in 2017. Neopost was renamed Quadient in 2019.
