Totem is a free media player - software for Linux . In the desktop environment Gnome 's Totem of the default media player. The totem uses GTK + and is under the GPL . Totem can use either the Xine or GStreamer libraries for playback.
GNOME integration
The package includes a plug-in for Mozilla Firefox , which is responsible for the media playback of audio and video trailers. Under GNOME, the totem video thumbnailer is used to preview video files in the Nautilus file browser . Another plug-in provides a Nautilus property page that provides precise information about the selected media file. The associated file types are registered in order to start Totem with a double click . By using GnomeVFS , Totem allows the playback of all different media that are supported by the GNOME file system, including encrypted SSH shares and Windows shares.
