The GRN-Klinik Eberbach is a facility for basic and standard medical care in Eberbach . It is the successor to the Eberbach District Hospital. Today the Rhein-Neckar health center clinic group is responsible for this . The hospital is the academic teaching hospital of the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg for surgical and internal medicine .

history

The hospital was founded at the beginning of the 20th century with a capacity of 35 beds. From 1949 to 1959 the city of Eberbach was responsible for the hospital. Until 1983 the hospital was operated by a joint association of the city and the district of Heidelberg. From January 1984 the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis took over the sponsorship.

The hospital has been part of the Rhein-Neckar health center since 2006 and was renamed the GRN-Klinik Eberbach in 2010.

Facility

130 patient beds are available in 5 specialist departments. The number of employees is 350. More than 6,000 inpatients and 8,000 outpatients are treated annually.
