The GRN-Klinik Sinsheim is a facility for basic and standard medical care in Sinsheim . It is the successor institution of the Sinsheim district hospital. Today the Rhein-Neckar health center clinic group is responsible for this . The hospital is the academic teaching hospital of the University of Heidelberg .
history
The hospital was founded in 1896 as a district hospital and hospital for the poor. From 1945 the conversion to the district hospital took place. In the mid-fifties, a new hospital building with 100 beds was built, which was put into operation at the end of 1957. In the sixties and seventies, the expansion to 180 patient beds as well as the construction of an intensive care unit, the underground car park and the kitchen facilities were completed. The hospital has been part of the Rhein-Neckar health center since 2006 and was renamed GRN-Klinik Sinsheim in 2010.
