The class 816 railcars of the GW Train Regio are two-axle diesel railcars for regional traffic in the southern Bohemian Forest , which have arisen from the ZSSK class 810 through modernization .

history

The first converted vehicle was the former 810,659. The renovation was carried out by DPOV in the Veselí nad Moravou repair shop . The first test drive took place in February 2018.

technology

During the renovation, the interior and the windows were renewed and a new Tedom motor was installed. Thanks to the built-in MSV control, the railcars can now be used in multiple traction. The vehicles were also equipped with WiFi and air conditioning in the driver's and passenger areas.
