The Gablenz Bridge is a road bridge in Kiel. The Gablenzstrasse leading over the bridge is named after General Ludwig von Gablenz , who in 1864 was the commander of the Austrian troops in the German-Danish War and governor in Holstein.

First bridge

The first Gablenz Bridge was built at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1956 it was widened. The bridge was demolished at the end of May 2008.

Second bridge

A new bridge was built from 2006 to 2009.
