Gabor Szűcs

Gabor Szűcs (born September 25, 1956 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Szűcs was a participant in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal and 1980 in Moscow . In 1976 he started in the single pursuit and was classified in 16th place. In 1980 he played the team pursuit with the Hungarian four-man (12th place).

His first international success was winning the silver medal in the single pursuit at the European Junior Championships in 1974 behind Sergei Baranov . In 1977 and 1978 he won the Hungarian team time trial championship with his club four. He started for the KSI Budapest association .
