Hitzing is a district of the municipality of Reischach in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting .

location

The wasteland lies on a gentle hill, approx. 1 km northwest of Reischach . It can be reached via a spur road from the district road AÖ 11, 100 m away .

history

The first mention dates from 1404 as a protégé in connection with the sale of goods from the farm to a nobleman.

The place name is based on the personal name "Hitzilo". The spelling changed from "Hitzling" to "Hizing" in the middle of the 17th century, and finally to "Hitzing" in the 19th century.

Until the municipal reform , Hitzing was part of the municipality of Arbing . This was incorporated into the Reischach community on July 1, 1971.
