Rockersbach is a district of the municipality of Reischach in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting .

location

The hamlet is about 2.5 km west-northwest of Reischach . In addition to the main town, the eight properties (as of 2020) are spread across the corridor. There is a gravel pit in the north. The eponymous Rockersbach drains the area over the Reischachbach into the Inn .

history

Shortly before the year 1151, a Chadalhoh from Ruotkozzispach (= Rockersbach) had seven servants handed over to the Church of Salzburg. The place name probably goes back to the founder of the place Ruodgozz (Ruotkozz), who settled here with his people "by the brook".

Until the municipal reform , Rockersbach was part of the municipality of Arbing . This was incorporated into the Reischach community on July 1, 1971.
