Unterthal is a district of the municipality of Reischach in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting .

location

The hamlet is about 1.7 km north of Reischach . The five properties are spread out across the open corridor. A road branching off from the B 588 in Fuchshub leads to the village and on to the AÖ 32 district road .

history

It is very likely that Unterthal has been settled much longer than Oberthal , 400 m away , which was probably formed in the 10th or 11th century. In 1300 no distinction was made between the two places, they were both referred to as Thal , which is still the case in today's linguistic usage.

Until the municipal area reform , Unterthal was part of the municipality of Arbing . This was incorporated into the Reischach community on July 1, 1971.
