Naa is an island at the northern end of North Tarawa of the Tarawa Atoll in the Gilbert Islands of the island state of Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean .
geography
Naa is a motu at the north end of Tarawa Atoll. It is 32 km to the main town of Bairiki in South Tarawa and 60 km to the neighboring atoll of Marakei . The island consists only of a rugged extension of the reef, but is connected to Buariki in the south by a road on the eastern edge of the atoll .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Tarawa Atoll, Naa is occasionally hit by cyclones .
