Gabriel Dias

Gabriel Dias (born July 11, 1990 ) is a former Brazilian racing car driver .

Career

Like most motorsport enthusiasts , Dias began his career in karting , where he was active from 1998 to 2007. In 2008 he made his first experiences in formula racing and drove both in the Western European Formula Renault , in which he finished 13th overall, and in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup , in which he was 24th. In 2009 the Brazilian moved to the British Formula 3 Championship , where he started in the national class for Team T-Sport this season . He won eight races in this class and at the end of the season finished second in this category. In 2010 Dias switched to Hitech Racing and competed in the regular championship. In the second race of the second race weekend at Silverstone , he finished in second place behind Alexander Sims . However, since Sims was a guest driver, Dias was considered the winner. At the end of the season he finished sixth overall with three wins.
