Gabriel Péri is an underground station of the Paris Métro . It is located below the rue des Bas on the border of the Parisian suburbs Asnières-sur-Seine and Gennevilliers . It is served by Metro line 13 .
The station went into operation on May 3, 1980 under the name Gabriel Péri - Asnières - Gennevilliers , when the section of line 13 from the Porte de Clichy station to the Gabriel Péri station was opened. The station is located on the northwest branch of line 13 and was the end point of the northwest branch until June 14, 2008.
With the commissioning of the line extension to Asnières - Gennevilliers - Les Courtilles , the station got its current name. The name recalls the French journalist and politician Gabriel Péri , who was executed by the German occupying forces in 1941.
