Gabriele Jakob (born October 4, 1953 in Hanover ) is a German politician. From 2003 to 2008 she was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . She is married and has three children.

Life

After attending primary school, Jakob did an apprenticeship as a saleswoman. She worked in this profession until her election to the state parliament.

politics

Jakob has been a member of the CDU since 1976 . She was chairwoman of the women's union Hannover-Stadt and deputy chairwoman of the women's union of the district association of Hannover. In addition, she was a member of the board of the CDU district association Hannover-Stadt for many years and was also deputy chairwoman. Since 1987 (with an interruption from 2006 to 2008) Jakob has been a member of the Döhren-Wülfel district council . Here she has been chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group since 2008. From 1996 to 2011 she was councilwoman in the city council of Hanover and also deputy chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group there. She was represented in the Lower Saxony state parliament from 2003 to 2008.

Other offices

Jakob is a member of the women's and children's shelter in Hanover and a member of the supervisory board of the Gesellschaft für Bauen und Wohnen Hannover mbH (GBH).
