history
The arena was built in 2002 by the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh, which still operates the hall today. In the main hall there are 4000 seats. The arena offers opportunities for all common sports, from basketball to handball to tennis, squash and badminton. As a major event, the 2009 Badminton World Cup was held in the hall .
