Gadong monastery
Gadong Gompa or the Gadong Monastery (Tibetan dga 'gdong dgon; Chinese 噶 東 寺 / 噶 东 寺 , Pinyin Gadong si ; English Gadong Monastery) is a Buddhist monastery of the Kadam School in the Tölung Dechen district of Lhasa the Autonomous Tibet Region of the People's Republic of China .
It was founded in the 11th century by Zingpo Sherepa and became the seat of an important oracle, Tsongkhapa Manjughosa appeared in a meditation cave .
