from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gaius Bruttius Praesens was a Roman politician and senator of the 3rd century AD.

Bruttius came from the patrician gens Bruttia , which originally came from Lucania . His father Lucius Bruttius Quintius Crispinus had been consul in 187 . His son was perhaps Gaius Bruttius Praesens , who held the consulate in 246. Bruttius himself was Salius Palatinus in 199 , and in 217 he reached the ordinary consulate.
