Galenika is the largest pharmaceutical company in Serbia . The company was founded in Belgrade in 1945 . It is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Southeast Europe and is still partly state-owned. The portfolio focuses on generics .

A new factory was opened in July 2010, which cost € 50 million to build. In 2013 the company had more than 2,200 employees.

The company has already been partially privatized, and the Serbian state would like to part with the remaining shares in the future (as of March 2015).

The shares with Galenika in their name, which are already traded on the Belgrade stock exchange, are former subsidiaries.
