Dieter Beuermann

Dieter Ekkehard Beuermann (born August 24, 1938 in Marienwerder , West Prussia) is a German publisher.

Career

Beuermann came as the son of the businessman Heinz Beuermann and Elise Beuermann, nee. Resentment to the world. He attended high school and the commercial academy in Herford and completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter and a commercial apprenticeship between 1957 and 1962. He then did an internship in Hanover and during this time he stayed in Paris and London for study purposes.

From 1965 to 1995 he was the owner of the Nicolaische Verlagsbuchhandlung in Berlin. He later also became a partner in Otto Meissner Verlag , whose headquarters he moved from Bleckede to Berlin in 1983.

From 1980 he taught as a lecturer in publishing at the Free University of Berlin . He held a leading position in various professional associations, from 1981 as chairman of the Berlin regional association in the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels , until 2004 as chairman of the book art foundation and until 2009 as chairman of the specialist committee for magazines in the Berlin regional association of the German Association of Journalists . Since July 1, 1992, he has been a member of the ZDF Board of Directors as an elected member of the TV Council . He is chairman of the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Stadtmuseum Berlin . Since 2006 he has been spokesman for the Monday Club .
