Gambian Swimming Championship 2018

The Gambian Swimming Championship 2018 took place at the beginning of December 2018 in the QCity in Bijilo ( Gambia ).

The championship, the first in the history of the Gambia, was organized by the Gambia Swimming Association (GSA). More than 25 swimmers from different regions of the country took part in this championship.

Modou Lamin Saine from Bakau was the most successful participant in this championship. In the men's 200 m freestyle competition, he was 2:47 min. ahead of Omar Darboe from Tanji and Ebrima Sorrie Buwaro winner. He also took first place in the men's 50 m breaststroke and 50 m backstroke with 0:37:97 and 0:31:75 respectively.

In the women's 100 m freestyle competition, Aina Vive Roca took first place with 1:23, followed by Christina Aziz with 1:41 minutes. Ida Cham finished 3rd with 1:56.
