The GamesTM (proper spelling games ™ ) is a monthly British video game magazine . The first issue appeared in December 2002. The magazine sees itself as a multi-platform magazine and therefore covers games for Playstation 2 , PlayStation 3 , Nintendo Wii , Nintendo DS , Xbox 360 and the PC .

In 2008, sister magazines were launched in German and Dutch. Both editions have since been discontinued.

English language edition

The first issue of the magazine was published in December 2002 by Highbury Entertainment. When he got into financial difficulties and filed for bankruptcy in January 2006, the magazine's future was uncertain. On January 20, 2006 it was bought by Imagine Publishing and continued with the old editorial team.

The 100th issue of the magazine was published in September 2010. On the occasion of this anniversary, the publisher published the magazine with 100 different covers, which were dedicated to 100 games that were outstanding from the editors' point of view.

The first edition of the booklet appeared on March 5, 2008 (No. 4/08), at that time in monthly publication. Since the beginning of 2009 the magazine has been switched to a publication every two months. Games ™ was published every two months on the first Wednesday of the month and comprised around 100 pages. The magazine was discontinued with the 1/2010 issue.

The magazine brought news about video and computer games, previews of upcoming games and tests, as well as a retro section and background reports. The magazine was published by the now insolvent Airmotion Games Verlags GmbH , which also published the sister magazines 360 Live and PS3M . Richard Löwenstein was the editor-in-chief and Sönke Siemens was the chief editor.

The website games-tm.de was linked to the print magazine . Here the users found news, current tests, another retro part, a release list of new games, selected previews and features, a media gallery with screenshots and videos, an editor's blog , a forum and podcasts .
