360 Live was an independent trade magazine for the games console Xbox 360 from Microsoft .

history

The first edition of the magazine was published in November 2005. From then on it was published every two months. From autumn 2006, 360 Live appeared monthly. The magazine tested games and hardware for the Xbox 360, reported on planned games and brought the latest news to the game console. The magazine was founded by Richard Löwenstein and published in collaboration with Imprime Verlag / Munich. From autumn 2006 the magazine was published by Airmotion Games Verlags GmbH, which was based in Munich and also published the sister magazine gamesTM , a multi-format magazine, and PS3M , a magazine for Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable . The main editorial team included the chief editor, consisting of Richard Löwenstein and Sönke Siemens, the senior editors Nicolas Buracas and Michael Förtsch as well as the editors Moritz Wanke, Sabine Vogel and Jan Heinrich. 360 Live was mostly released on the last Wednesday of the month and consisted of 84 pages per issue. The magazine was available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Airmotion Games Verlags GmbH ceased operations in 2014. Due to falling circulation numbers, the last edition of 360 Live appeared in December 2013.

The website 360-live.de was linked to the print magazine. User news, all current tests, a release list of new games, selected previews and features , a media gallery with videos and screenshots were found here . Like the magazine, the website was discontinued at the end of December 2013.

Circulation statistics

In the fourth quarter of 2011, the average monthly circulation according to IVW was 15,742 copies. This is 12.01 percent (2,148 issues) fewer issues than in the same quarter of the previous year. The number of subscribers rose within one year by 25.07 percent to 1,896 subscribers. This means that 12.04 percent of readers received the magazine by subscription.
