Gando (Burkina Faso)
Gando is a village in Burkina Faso , in the Center-Est region , Boulgou province and Tenkodogo department . The village became famous in 2004 when the architect Diébédo Francis Kéré , who comes from Gando and lives in Germany, received the renowned Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the construction of the Gando elementary school.
Gando has around 2500 inhabitants who live in scattered farmsteads.
