Ganzhou (Zhangye)

The municipality of Ganzhou ( Chinese 甘州区 , Pinyin Gānzhōu Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Zhangye in the northwest of the Chinese province of Gansu . It has an area of 4,240 km² and has a population of 500,000 (2004). It is the center and seat of the Zhangye city government.
