The Garcia Point is a prominent point of land in the form of a ridge in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Maud Mountains it is located on the southern flank of the mouth of the DeGanahl Glacier in the Liv Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after the meteorologist Leopoldo Garcia, who worked at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station as part of the United States Antarctic Program in the Antarctic winter of 1965 .
