Set (unit)

The set and the barrel / keg were Saxon counting measures . These were used in the trade in sheet metal . The thicker types of tinplate were referred to as cross sheets and the sheets of medium thickness with lining sheet.

  • 1 set = 2 barrels front or filler sheets / lining sheets = 1 barrel / barrels cross sheets
  • 1 keg = 450 sheets / plates
