Bridge in the lower part of the gorge

The Garnitzenklamm is a narrow gorge ( gorge ) in the Gailtal near Möderndorf in Carinthia (2 km from Hermagor ). It was shaped over the centuries by the Garnitzenbach, which rises on the Gartnerkofel .

The Garnitzenklamm is divided into four sections. Sections 1 and 2 are rather easy, 3 and 4 a little more difficult to walk. You walk on a mostly more or less wide path along a rock face and follow the Garnitzenbach upwards.
