Garry Roque

Garry Roque (born April 14, 1960 in Paget Parish , Bermuda ) is a Canadian eventing rider .

Career

Roque began riding at the age of eight; when he was nine, Garry Roque had his first horse, an American Quarter Horse named Blue Boy .

Roque's greatest success was his participation in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens with his horse Waikura . He started both in the individual and in the team classification in eventing. In the individual ranking he came in 55th place, with the Canadian riding team he came in twelfth place with 124 fault points. In addition to Roque, Mike Winter , Bruce Mandeville , Hawley Bennett-Awad and Ian Roberts were part of the team.

Today Roque lives in Caledon , Ontario .
