Gary Jules Aguirre (born March 19, 1969 in San Diego , California ) is an American musician .

Career

For the film Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly Jules took along with his school friend Michael Andrews , who compiled the soundtrack of the film, a cover version of Tears for Fears- -Klassikers Mad World on.

In late 2003, two years after the film was released, the song became a commercial success and hit number 1 on the UK charts as a Christmas number one hit .
