Gary Mullen and The Works
Gary Mullen and The Works is a tribute band that copies the music and stage show of the British band Queen . The formation's front man is Freddie Mercury imitator Gary Mullen, who first became known in the British television show Stars in Their Eyes with an imitation of the late Queen singer. The other members of the band are David Brockett ( guitar ), Jonathan Evans ( drums ), Billy Moffat ( bass ) and Malcolm Gentles ( keyboard ).
In their show One Night of Queen , the band tries to imitate the concerts of their role model in every detail. Not only does Gary Mullen try to sing like Freddie Mercury, he also copies his idol's eccentric stage show. While performing, he wears original Mercury costumes that were provided to him by the remaining members of Queen. The stage set and lighting are also largely identical to those used by Queen in the 1980s. The band has been touring around the world since 2002 and has been the subject of reviews in the press several times. Her concerts were recommended by Queen's two remaining original members, Brian May and Roger Taylor .
