Gasfinolhu is an island that belongs to the North Malé Atoll , in the administrative atoll of Kaafu ( Maldives ). Gasfinolhu is located 2.3 km southwest of the island Thulusdhoo with the eponymous capital of the administrative atoll . The closest island, however, is the tourist island of Lhohifushi, 970 meters further south-west . All three islands are on the same section of the fringing reef of the North Malé Atoll.

The island is 473 meters long from southwest to northeast and a maximum of 62 meters wide. The area covers almost two hectares. Gasfinolhu is a tourist island with around 40 individual bungalows and a total bed capacity of 80. Characteristic is the 384-meter-long jetty that extends into the lagoon and where the speedboats from Malé International Airport dock (the transfer takes around 40 minutes, with one Distance of 23 kilometers).

The Gasfinolhu Island Resort was created in 1980 with an original capacity of 18 beds.

The permanent native population is 15 as of the 2006 census, of which 14 are male.

The island has been closed since May 1, 2011. According to the official website, the entire facility is to be demolished and rebuilt.
