Gaston Sichilima

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gaston Sichilima is a politician in Zambia .

Gaston Sichilima is secretary of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy in the Northern Province and holds the mandate of the constituency of Mbala in the National Assembly after the 2001 and 2006 elections.

Gaston Sichilima was Minister for Local Government in July 2003, Deputy Minister for Information and Media in December 2004, Deputy Minister of Education from 2005 to October 2006 and Deputy Minister for Energy and Hydropower Development since October.

Gaston Sichilima has repeatedly expressed himself critical of the privatization, in the course of which existing plants were needed outside the country in order to produce there. He is found occasionally at international conferences and seems to be a technocrat in the second political row who can be used in many ways. As young as he is, he is obviously being politically built up.
