Restaurant to the German House (Dortmund)
The former restaurant Zum Deutschen Haus is a residential and commercial building in Dortmund-Lütgendortmund , Lütgendortmunder Straße 43. It is registered as a monument in the list of monuments of the city of Dortmund .
history
In 1873 the eastern part of the building was erected as a bakery and inn "Zum Deutschen Haus" with a late Classicist gable. 30 years later the prosperous inn was expanded and the original bakery was given up. Inside the building, a new large hall with a stage and balcony was built.
At the end of the 1950s, demand in the catering business fell, which is why part of the property was used as a student residence from the 1970s. Today the building houses the piano music theater and apart from the bar also apartments.
