Gataivai and Gautavai are two settlements on the south coast of the island of Savai'i in the island state of Samoa , in the political district (itūmālō) Palauli .

The places lie together with Vaiala and Puleia in the mouth of the Gataivai River and Vaiola River . The South Coast Road connects the places with Nofoa in the west and Papa in the east.
