description

Gavin's Mill is located in downtown Milngavie on the four-lane Woodburn Way . It can be reached via Gavin's Mill Road , which now leads through a large supermarket parking lot. The building is at the end of the parking lot. To the south, Allander Water passes the mill. Today the premises house a restaurant.

The residential building is built on one level and ends with a slate roof. The facades are plastered and whitewashed. The mill building has two to three floors. It still houses the original machinery, some of which is still driven today by the cast-iron overshot mill wheel. Both parts of the building are made of roughly hewn stone. The building has been restored and equipped with new windows and doors. The roof and the interior were also included.
