Gawrail Panchev

Gawrail Panchew ( Bulgarian Гавраил Ненчев Панчев ; born October 15, 1954 in Stambolijski , Plovdiv Oblast , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian philologist and author.

Live and act

Panchev graduated in 1982 with a degree in "Bulgarian Philology" from the "Paisij Hilendarski" University of Plovdiv . From 1983 to 1991 he worked first as a teacher, then as deputy director (1990 to 1991) at the grammar school "Otez Paisij" in his hometown. From 2000 to 2002 he was director of the “European Month of Culture” foundation of the city of Plovdiv. In the years after the fall of the Berlin Wall (1989) he published a large number of articles in newspapers and magazines such as "Demokracia", "Filosofski alternativi", "Literaturen forum", "Demokratitscheski pregled" and "Mariza".

Gavrail Panchev is also the author of 9 books, with his last work, a three-volume biography of Aleko Konstantinov , rated by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences as "the best research on the life of the distinguished writer and dignitary of Bulgaria".
