Uwe Kleina (born October 11, 1944 ) is a former German soccer player . The defensive player played 19 league games in the Bundesliga with his youth club FC Schalke 04 from 1963 to 1966 . In the second division of the West Regional Football League , the clubs Bonner SC (30-0), Arminia Bielefeld (60-0) and Preußen Münster (49-2) added a total of 139 league games (2 goals).

In the Schalke youth team, the DFB became aware of Uwe Kleina's defensive talent and used him in five games in the youth national team in 1963, including the three group games at the UEFA tournament in England in April 1963. Kleina began his professional career at FC Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga in the summer of 1963 .
