history

The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles initially consisted of 99 members when it was founded in 1979. In the course of its history, the choir has grown to more than two hundred singers, although it has lost more than 150 members as a result of HIV infection. Increasing success prompted the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles on international tours, for example through South America. The choir performs regularly on stages in the Los Angeles area and has already performed around 1,000 choir concerts. The choir can also be heard regularly on various television programs. A series of joint appearances with the singer LeAnn Rimes caused a sensation in 2010 . In 2013 GMCLA performed the song We saw your Boobs at the Oscars with Seth MacFarlane . In 2014 the choir celebrated its thirty-fifth birthday with a concert.
