Gebhard Müller (politician, 1944)

Gebhard Müller (born January 8, 1944 in Tostedt ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Müller attended elementary school in Tostedt and then a grammar school in Scheeßel. After graduating from high school he was with the Bundeswehr in Lüneburg. He did a bank apprenticeship in Hamburg and then studied law at the universities in Tübingen and Hamburg. He spent his legal traineeship in Stade, Lüneburg and Hanover. After working as an employee in a Hamburg bank, he worked as a lawyer from 1976 and as a notary from 1979.

Müller has been a member of the CDU since 1974. From 1975 to 1980 he was chairman of the CDU local association of the Tostedt community. From 1977 to 1980 he was deputy district chairman of the CDU district association Harburg-Land and from 1981 he was councilor of the community of Tostedt, where he was CDU parliamentary group leader. In the eleventh and twelfth electoral periods he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 21, 1986 to June 12, 1992, where he was chairman of the electoral review committee from 1990 to 1992.
