history

According to contradicting sources , the company was founded either in 1897 or in 1912 by the Ohlhaber brothers . The concept of the internationally known trademark Revalo is derived from the family name of the two company founders and brothers Jonny Paulas Gerhard Ohlhaver and Hinrik Ohlhaver , whose last name - read backwards - sounds phonetically like revalo .

The company also used biscuit porcelain to put together a complete doll - character heads from companies such as Ernst Heubach (“Heubach Köppelsdorf ”), the Heubach brothers and the Mengersgereuth porcelain factory ; the latter can be identified by a capital X in a circle.

The brand name Igodi affixed to certain dolls refers to a patented crank head that Johann Gottlieb Dietrich invented in 1919 and that was also manufactured by Ernst Heubach.

The Ohlhaver brothers, who also produce for export and can be identified by the terms Germany or Dep (= déposée , deported , legally protected ) on the dolls, introduced the My Queen Doll and Bébé Princesse brands in 1921 .

Form numbers 150 , 151 , 10727 and 11010 are known.
