Jürgen Cieslik
Jürgen Cieslik (born September 6, 1939 in Dortmund ) is a German journalist and author. Since the early 1970s, he has specialized in the history of old toys and, in particular, tin toys .
Life
Jürgen Cieslik published a short story in the weekend edition of the Ruhr-Nachrichten in Dortmund when he was 14 years old . He volunteered at the Westfälische Rundschau in Dortmund in several local editorial offices and became a political editor. After four years he took over the press office of the Institute for Applied Social Science in Bad Godesberg . Cieslik then moved to the political editorship of the Bild newspaper in Hamburg. From 1967 he was the political correspondent for Bild und Bild am Sonntag in the federal capital Bonn. 1970 he transferred as a consultant for Press and Public Relations in the Federal Ministry of Youth, Family and Health , including technical supervision of the Federal Center for Health Education in Cologne. In 1977 he became press spokesman for the German Hospital Society in Düsseldorf. At the same time, he was in charge of the monthly magazine "das Krankenhaus" on hospital policy and management as editor-in-chief for almost ten years and, until 1986, he was also in charge of the world's largest hospital trade fair, Interhospital, as a PR consultant .
Since 1986 Jürgen Cieslik and his wife Marianne have been publishing and writing about old toys. From 1995 he built up the world's largest international event for teddy bear manufacturers and makers, Teddybär Total , in which he was involved until 2004. He is responsible for the website blechsammlertreff.com, a meeting place for friends of old tin toys.
