Gebrüder Roeder was a Darmstadt-based manufacturer of large-scale kitchens that produced from 1866 to 1965 and has since managed the property as Gebr. Röder Verwaltungs-GmbH .

history

The company was founded in 1866 as the first Darmstädter Herdfabrik und Eisengießerei Gebr. Roeder and converted into an AG in 1919, the name was shortened to Gebrüder Roeder AG on March 22, 1923 .

In the 1920s, the Rastatt Hofherdfabrik Stierlin & Vetter GmbH and Prometheus AG were taken over. In addition to large kitchen appliances, stoves for private households, field kitchens (including the Bundeswehr "Roeder 54") and commercial dishwashers were also produced. After no more profit was made by 1965, the company changed into a real estate management company, primarily for the Rheinstrasse 99 site. Roeder Großküchentechnik GmbH was taken over by Burger Eisenwerke AG, which no longer existed. This is not to be confused with various commercial kitchen sales companies with the name Röder that are not related to the commercial kitchen manufacturer.
