Gebr. Müller Müllerbräu
The Gebr. Müller Müllerbräu GmbH & Co. KG (also Müllerbräu ) is a brewery in Pfaffenhofen . It is the only remaining brewery in Pfaffenhofen. The Müllerbräu Hotel and a brewery are still located at the old location on the main square.
history
As early as 1630 there was a forerunner brewery in Pfaffenhofen on the main square. The origins of the oldest Pfaffenhofen miller (ancestral holder of the brewing family) is documented in the document of the Pfaffenhofen letter protocol from the years 1776 and 1779 in Scheyern. Through constant expansion, the former brewery and later house brewery became a medium-sized brewery over several generations, which has shaped the townscape of Pfaffenhofen since then and still shapes it today.
Hotel Mullerbräu
From Hauptplatz 2 to Löwenstraße 3 - i.e. at the old location of the brewery - the old brewery with the outbuildings is a protected monument in the ensemble Hauptplatz. The Hotel Müllerbräu is a three-storey corner building with a gable roof, grooved plaster and two onion tower markers with Art Nouveau decor and a balcony over a gate passage. It was built in 1858, extended and given a new decor in 1903.
At the house there is a statue of Mary made of cast iron from the end of the 19th century, which is also protected.
The adjoining building is a three-storey, plastered gable roof building with elevator dormer and probably dates from the second half of the 19th century. The building is listed in the register of protected monuments under the number D-1-86-143-11 .
The hotel and inn business previously operated under the name "Weinharts Hotel und Brauereigasthof in Pfaffenhofen ad Ilm" and is now owned by the brewery again.
