Cooked rice is used for the preparation, otherwise the moisture content prevents frying. In addition to rice, meat , edible fish , seafood and various vegetables are used. Typical is the addition of egg, both pre-fried and cooked together with the other ingredients after frying. It is customary to add herbs and seasoning vegetables to finish just before the end of cooking. Fried rice is used both as a stand-alone dish and as a side dish for other dishes.
