Antenatal acupuncture

The birth Preparatory Acupuncture is a form of application of acupuncture , can be treated with the women from the 36th week of pregnancy, to facilitate the birth. In medical studies, this method has been shown to reduce the birth time by up to two hours compared to the control group. The cause is the faster maturation of the cervix uteri, which acupuncture promotes . The use of antenatal acupuncture is not indicated if a primary caesarean section is indicated .

Studies have also shown that acupuncture preparatory to labor improves labor coordination, which means that less labor-support measures are necessary.
